You are invited to … Newfoundland’s version of the popular game …

When: Saturday, March 30, 2002

1300 hours SHARP!

Where: Slainte, Deer Park, Salmonier Line

As you all know it’s that time of year

Salmonier Survivor is finally here!

We’ve all been waiting for March to come

Let’s all cross our fingers and hope for the sun

Now, there’s not much snow in Deerpark this time

So you won’t have to park on the Salmonier Line

It’s much more convenient but a whole lot less fun

At least Dawn and Al won’t take the ski doo for a run

Because of last time expectations are high

This year’s no big deal and I’ll tell you why

Danny and Denise, down south they did go

So at this year’s event they’ll be a no-show

But we’ll still have a blast at our Newfoundland game

Some challenges different while some are the same

Please arrive at Slainte, 1:00 is the time

I’m finding it difficult to make this line rhyme

There’ll be chili for lunch and slush will be free

But bring your own meat or snaring rabbits you’ll be

Will you be team “Blue Star” or is “Black Horse” your tune?

Please ask us no questions you’ll all find out soon

We’ll drink lots of booze, play some games, have a scoff

And clue up the night with the 2nd Annual Dance Off!

So we’ll see you March 30th and please get some rest

Cause soon Saturday will come and we’ll know who’s the best!
